That’s So Gay’ demonstrates in entertaining detail exactly
what happens when teachers, students and parents discuss the emotionally
charged topic of sexually diversity. How does a young gay atheist “accidentally”
and successfully pilot a challenging homophobia program in an all-boys
Catholic school? What led to the Tasmanian Education Department’s
commitment to implement that same program in all of its state schools?
Why is this work a “world-first”?

homophobia in Australian schools and how you can do it too’ demonstrates
in entertaining detail exactly what happens when teachers, students and
parents discuss the emotionally charged topic of sexually diversity. How
does a young gay atheist “accidentally” and successfully pilot
a challenging homophobia program in an all-boys Catholic school? What
led to the Tasmanian Education Department’s commitment to implement

Writing
Themselves In Again!
Recently the follow-up research report to the landmark ‘Writing
Themselves In’ was launched in Melbourne – ‘Writing
Themselves In Again: 6 Years On’ (The 2nd National Report on the
sexuality, health & well-being of same sex attracted young people
in Australia). In terms of us all learning about young people’s
experiences and their reality, this report is a must read, especially
in relation to the implications for schools. To read more go to: www.latrobe.edu.au/ssay
